About the technology

A revolutionary biocompatible and patented technology that makes materials resistant to bacteria, viruses and biofilm.

No chemical substances

What are biocides?

Biocides are used to control harmful and unwanted organisms and microorganisms. These are chemicals that kill not only pathogens, they also kill non-pathogens, which means they can also be dangerous to humans. There are a number of different biocide classes. At least 30% of the biocides are endocrine-disrupting, persistent, toxic to aquatic organisms or carcinogenic.

Clean+Protect® is produced using the body's own trace element zinc, as it is present and functions in the top layer of human skin. It is this trace element that creates the skin's defense mechanism against bacteria and viruses. With the technology, we reproduce a similar defense mechanism in plastics and polymers without using chemicals or other toxic substances

What is nanosilver?

Silver and Nano-silver are the most common solutions used today to make products antimicrobial. But we must realize that silver can be toxic and contributes to antibiotic resistance.

Silver nanoparticles can be absorbed through the lungs, intestine and through the skin in circulation and can thus reach organs such as the liver, kidney, spleen, brain, heart, etc. Nanosilver can cause mild eye and skin irritations. It can also act as a mild allergen of the skin. Inhalation of silver nanoparticles mainly affects the lungs and liver. It was demonstrated that silver nanoparticles can be genotoxic to mammalian cells.

Clean+Protect® uses no chemicals or harmful substances. It is approved for use against foodstuffs, completely biocompatible, non-toxic and 100% safe.

No nanoparticles

Nanoparticles are extremely small, less than 100 nanometers in diameter. This means that they are very difficult to control and can always come out of the material they are embedded in. They can easily pass through the walls of internal organs and end up in the brain, heart, liver, lungs and many other vital organs. Research shows that nanoparticles stick to human tissue and can trigger inflammatory reactions in cells.

What are nanoparticles?

Nanoparticles can be very powerful and unpredictable, and anything powerful that is difficult to control should be considered very carefully before use. Clean+Protect® does not use nanoparticles or nanomaterials. The technology is on a micrometric scale, and with this we have full control over properties and functionality. It realizes an inherent, inert property change in and on the surface of the material. There is no migration principle that creates the self-cleansing effect. The technology does not migrate out of the material in which it is integrated.
